3 Airbnb Pads in Dublin You’ll Want to Visit

If you haven’t heard the news, Dublin, Ireland is one of the fastest growing destinations in the world. Dubliners seem to have mastered the balance of culture, history, trends, shopping, dining, and the great outdoors. Its close proximity to Great Britain makes is the perfect location for exploring too. Dublin really has it all so, we did our research and came up with 3 Pads in Dublin to die for.

Penthouse in Temple Bar

Airbnb Dublin

Penthouse in Temple Bar, 1bedrooms/1bed $165 / night

Perfect for people looking for accommodations close to the nightlife. While there are loads of pubs in Dublin, Temple Bar is known to be the center of the party. I really like this pad because it’s in the ‘Old Town’ just beside Temple Bar so you’re close to the party, shops, and restaurants without all the riff raff. It’s on Cows Lane (a popular go-to spot for locals).

The location is prime not only for the access to pubs and restaurants but Trinity College, Dublin Castle, St. Patrick’s Cathedral and Grafton Street are all within minutes of walking. No need to pay an expensive cabby.

Here’s what I love about the pad:

  • Nice kitchen with new appliances
  • Big wrap around balcony with nice view
  • Inside of the space is well furnished and very clean
  • Flat screen TV
  • Wifi

City Centre Modern Townhouse

Airbnb Dublin

City Centre Modern House, 2bedrooms/2beds $197/ nght

This pad is in the area of Christchurch and St. Patrick’s Cathedral. If you’re looking for more of a local’s living experience, this is a great choice. St. Stephen’s Green, Grafton Street, and Dawson Street are just a few minutes walk from this location. Temple Bar, Dame Street just 15 minutes from the pad.

Here’s what I love about this pad:

  • Washer and dryer and all kitchen appliances needed
  • Stocked with food staples like milk, tea, coffee and cleaning products / laundry detergent
  • Close to Ireland’s oldest pub, the Brazen Head (very cool, been there).

House in the Heart of Dublin

Airbnb Dublin

House in the Heart of Dublin 2bedrooms/4beds $233/night.

This pad is central to all the tourist highlights but off the path enough to be more of a local’s paradise. I fell in love with this pad because of its decorative charm, location and style. It’s inside an old Georgian home with most of the original features and udated bathroom. It also has a garden which is nice in the city.

Here’s what I love about this pad:

  • Close enough to walk to Temple Bar
  • Plenty of space and beautiful inside and out
  • Washer / dryer
  • Wifi, fireplace, Cable TV

Things to Know Before You Go

  • Dublin taxis can cost you. Plan to walk before you call a cab. Everything is pretty close by and with the right amount of planning you can totally walk.
  • The weather in Dublin can change pretty quickly, always plan ahead.
  • Take a day trip out of Dublin. There are some cool places to explore both north and south of the city. A car rental for two days would give you plenty of access to the Wicklow Mountains to the south and the cool Megalithic sites to the north.
