HelloHere is an excellent Airbnb tool to help you save time and to give your guests a better experience all round. You can interact with them in their own language and provide personalized recommendations to them to help them enjoy their stay. Not only this, but you can keep in touch with them after their stay. I highly recommend trying out this tool!

Overview

HelloHere is one of the most interesting apps that I've seen in the last few years. The reason I'm excited about it is that the app combines three important functionalities:

1) Providing information
2) Enabling extra revenue
3) Communication with former guests

It's really a guidebook, E-commerce portal and communication app in one, enabling Airbnb hosts to improve their offering while at the same time increase their revenue. In addition, by keeping in touch with former guests they can increase the chance that they will come back. Repeat guests are gold, because they already had a great experience (otherwise they wouldn't come back), so they are more likely to leave a glaring review plus they are easier to host, i.e. less questions and explanation needed.

So how does the app achieve these three important functionalities?

1. Providing information

The app allows you to input a great deal of information about the property you are renting out and the local area. When you “create” a property in Hello Here, you can add details such as the address and a photo of the property, as well as how guests can reach it by car, train, bus or taxi and approximately how long it takes. There is also space to include more about yourself and how guests can contact you, as well as a “Welcome note”.

You can add information about the amenities available in the property for guests and also include a “how-to guide” which explains anything that guests need to know about the property and its amenities. Having this available to them is great for both parties as guests no longer need to contact you for your help on these issues during their stay, and you no longer need to respond to repetitive messages. Hello Here makes it possible to add guides in video format.

You can easily manage several properties as they are organised for you by country and then by city. This allows you to find the property you want to edit quickly and easily, saving you lots of precious time!

Along with the property itself, it’s possible to add information about the local area and what there is to do and see. You can add your recommendation for places to visit in the section “My Recommendations”. Here you can add categories such as pubs and bars, must see, tours and activities, beaches, stores, spa and massage etc. and activities that your guests might enjoy. The advantage of this feature is that guests have a complete guide to their surroundings, enabling them to make the most of their stay. Secondly, it can generate some revenue for you, which leads on to our second point. 

 

2. Enabling extra revenue

The “My Recommendations” section is where you can add information that helps your guest to really integrate in the local surroundings. You can provide information about attractions and activities around your property that guests might be interested in seeing or getting involved with. Guests love to have personal recommendations from a local or someone who knows the area, so this is a great feature.

The “My Recommendations” section can include some recommendations of companies with whom you collaborate. For example, you can recommend a taxi service to the airport and you can gain commission on this through the application.

You can also generate some extra revenue by upselling services such as “late checkout” in this section, which is a super-easy way to increase your income.

 3. Communication with former guests

Along with all the features which help out current and upcoming guests, with Hello Here it’s also possible to stay in contact with guests who have previously stayed in your accommodation. This means guests are able to contact you if they would like to stay in your place again.

As well as these three plus to the site, there are a few more benefits to using Hello Here that make it an excellent application.

The first is that Hello Here allows you to send push notifications to the guests with information about events nearby, to market an offer or to remind them about check-out. This means that guests are up-to-date and informed at all times.

It's also possible to customize content for each guest based on the category they are in. For example, families will receive notifications and recommendations about events for both adults and kids in the local area, which means that it will be much more useful than generic recommendations.

Finally, arguably the greatest aspect of Hello Here is that it is available to guests in their own language. This means there will be no more language barriers to overcome as they will simply have everything available to them in a language they can understand.
